Speculations and new ideas

The first transformational technology was a fire, more specifically controlled fire. When the early homo-sapiens learned how to control fire and use it to their advantage it opened a whole new path for human advancements. Much after the fire, came the wheel and then electricity, followed by the light bulb, and not too long after that came the first-ever car, and every year we’re coming up with cooler and wackier technology.

In the previous class, our assignment was to come up with new ideas or speculate what kind of technologies would exist in the future. Everyone in the class came up with super-cool new ideas.

My idea was that of a smart door, which can be voice-activated either through a smartphone or smart house devices. This would be very convenient, instead of physically going to the door to open it every time, we can just give commands like “open door” and “close door”. This is a basic idea of what I’d think will be a part of future technologies.
